It is here!
It is wireless.
It is tubeless.
It is mileless.
Dustless.
Muckless.
Mine is 26 inchs and almost ready for action. Stay tuned…
DHL is holding Dave’s PowerTap 2.4 wireless tubless disc wheel hostage carting it all over the Western US making him grumpy. I let him stroke mine but it didn’t help. They both started out in Grand Junction. Mine pretty much came straight here and Dave’s has visited Aurora Regional Hub, CO > Colorado Springs, CO > Riverside County Regional Hub, CA > West Valley City, UT. Hey it is in Utah at least now…
……….LATE EDIT AND NESWFLASH FROM DAVE:
It’s here, it’s here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone is excited :-)
I’ve been waiting for you to post this! Eager to hear how it goes.
Cool!
Morgan
Jealous, oh so very jealous. I hope to get my hands on one very quickly…
Those cost more money than my bike! Reason #134 Why I need to buy a new bike.
I’m excited for you two!
congrats, you geeks.
Dang, it’s not even ugly. So I can afford a 36″ wheeled bike, or I can start training with power…
Do they come in pink?
I can’t wait for the Lynda patented durability test. If there is somebody that can kill it you are the one. I saw prototypes here all winter. Its cool stuff.
Cool times you two. I’m really envious now – after a winter of getting used to my SL 2.4 on the road bike, I’m now missing it on the mountain bike. I could switch it over to my Astrix frame and use rim brakes in the rear, but it’s a campy hub and I can’t figure out a way to get a single cog back there for the SS.
So is that a disk specific hub or is it an adaptor?
Arrggh…there goes another paycheck.
Matt,
It is a disc specific hub with a unique disc bolt pattern.
